If you are ready to transform your home, we will guide you through every step, ensuring your project is not only a success but an enjoyable journey too.

Ready to meet the team?

In order to get your new project underway, you will need an on site consultation to discuss your proposals, however a simple initial phone call to one of our offices OR an in Studion consultation to discuss your project brief would be a great way to start.

The in Studio consultation is a 30 minute face to face introduction meeting at our practice in either Deganwy Or Mold. This is an opportunity to see if we are a good fit for you and see the work of our practice. We will discuss your proposed project in detail, establish your design brief and discuss how the design process works. We will also establish what you need and want from the project and the feasibility of achieving this and how this can be realised. We will discuss fees, costs and time scales, as well as talk through in detail the various statutory obligations that are required, for example obtaining planning consent, demonstrating compliance with Building Regulations and with the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM). We will also set out what the obligations and responsibilities are from your perspective, our role and the role of other consultants who may be required on the project.

We approach all our projects with complete honesty. From the very beginning, our aim is to provide you with a clear view of the proposed project and help you understand the costs and the challenges you may face with your project. We aim to address any challenges that may arise creatively and professionally with value for money at the heart of our approach. All work is undertaken by, or under the direct supervision of an RIBA Chartered Architect who will guide you through the whole process – from the initial design, to seeing the project through planning and construction, all the way to completion. We adhere to the RIBA and ARB Code of Conduct, which ensures the highest standard of professional conduct and service throughout.

BIM AND THE DESIGN PROCESS

MJA utilise CAD technology to assist the design process and communicate schemes to clients and have implemented the latest design technology software known as BIM (Building Information Modelling).

What is BIM?

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is an innovative digital process we use to design and manage building projects with enhanced accuracy and efficiency. BIM enables us to create a 3D model of a building that includes detailed information about every element—from structural components to electrical systems and materials. This model evolves as the project develops, ensuring every phase is well-coordinated and clearly visualized.

Why We Use BIM?

We use BIM because it helps us design smarter, collaborate better, and deliver higher-quality results. Through BIM, our architects and consultants can work from a single, shared digital model, reducing errors, enhancing precision, and enabling real-time adjustments throughout the project. This ensures that all teams—engineering, construction, and management—are always on the same page.

Advantages of BIM for Our Clients

For our clients, BIM means greater clarity, transparency, and control. You can visualize the final design in 3D before construction even begins, explore alternatives, and make informed decisions. BIM also reduces costly rework and helps streamline timelines, which ultimately saves money and minimizes delays.

By using BIM, we offer a more efficient process and a clearer path to the finished building.

“We approached MJA help remodel our home, we were open to alternative ideas and they blew us away! We now have a contemporary and spacious extension that we are proud to show off.”
